A “noodle box” busload of kulture

Can you imagine an Italybus cuising around the schools with with demonstrations of Venetian masque ball fashion and Roman gladitor fights? No hardly. Why does the Wonderbus demonstrate museum artifacts of Japanese culture like green tea ceremonies and kimono dressing? Chotto okashi da na.

WARRNAMBOOL:
Wonderbus Japan pulled in to Warrnambool’s St Joseph’s Primary School yesterday afternoon from Sydney and created a “Little Tokyo” in the playground. Thirteen people, all originally from Japan, served up a noodle box of culture with demonstrations of green tea ceremonies, origami and karate….
…”Even though they have been studying Japanese for many years, very few have had the opportunity to see Japanese culture,”….”But we’ve come for the free food,” she joked.
