HanaHana(tm) Get your big nose beauty!
I was shopping for calcium pills to speed the mending of my broken leg when I saw this silliness in a Japanese drugstore yesterday. Yep, it’s a industrial-strength clothespin to clip on your nose to make it bigger….and therefore more beautiful. Ri-i-i-ight.

Visit the “HanaHana(tm) website written in Japanese.
The gist of the product description in my funky direct translation is:
Revision of the nose cartilage after adulthood is slow, However, this product you can make your several mm higher, whick will change the entire impression of your face! The point at which your nose becomes beautiful… is where the entire balance very slightly changed—and your face become beautiful, it does! The HanaHana(tm) changes the central part of your nose is most important part to change your expression, it does!
Yes, Japanese does sound that irrational—if I rewrote it too much it would loose the original dementia.
HanaHana(tm) for beautiful big nose life.

I hate to say this, but I no longer think my Girlfriend is the only crazy one out there. Every night, she breaks a plastic hair clip to mimic what this gadget does, and leaves it on her nose for a good hour. Shes a model, and swears by it, claiming it raises her nose. I thought she was crazy. Now I want to find one of these things so she doesnt break anymore hair clips….If you can help me find one, I would appreciate it!

It’s not just the japanese.
When it comes to cultural imperialism, the Asians are still asleep.
OPEN YOUR EYES (no pun intended)!

it’s misleading to make it look as if asians are the only ones who are “weird”…as if americans aren’t just as self conscious…if you look at the extent of plastic surgery going on you’ll see that americans are just as, if not more image conscious. mayeb it’s because i live in LA, but i see fake breasts, face pulls, lip injections, and nose jobs all the time…and to me, these are far more drastic steps to “beautifying” oneself than sticking a stupid pin on your nose, as dumb as that is.

i have broad base and rhinoplasty but i want reduce broad base
Nothing non-surgical is going to reduce a “broad base” and surgical reduction of the base is going to leave the entire face unbalanced looking (which most likely is the reason why your rhinoplasty doctor didn’t change the base).. Tissue puffiness can be reduced by soaking one’s face in water with ice in the bathroom sink but that’s a temp measure at best.

I saw the article on the nose..
In Italy I perform the medical rhynoplasty in two minutes with yaluronic acid and Botulinum toxin with better results and no one risk!
in my opinion it is absolutely better.

Oh my!
Theay r really crazy!
why don’t they just go in for surgery? Rhinoplasty is quite safe now, and it gives real visible results:

I have to say, I could not agree with you 100%, but that is just my opinion, which indeed could be very wrong.
p.s. You have a very good smell for your blog. Where did you find it?

Nice post. There’s a similar topic related to this in Google groups, if I remember correctly. I’ll find the link and post it back here–It should spark up a good debate.

Do you actually think it will work putting a clip, or pressing constantly your nose in order to stretch the nostrils, or to get a thiner tip?(I mean, using any home made thing similar to this).
Plesae, if possible, I’d like any reference(information on the web), in relation to any of the answers.
Thank you very much.
June 29th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
Nope.
It will not work (unless you wore it 24/7/365 from the age of 3).

Please, support the answers.
Thus, do you think it will damage or modify in any aspect the appearance of the nose if pressing it frequently?
Thanks

Please, if someone could answer my previous questions, I’d be thanked.

Check out “Synthesalis” a small company based in Kyoto and specialised in bio-enhancements. Famous in the medical sector for it’s innovative approach of transplant technics, little is known about the core of it’s activity. They have a nose implant is placed under facial skin. It is designed to alter the shape of the user in subtle ways. The length and width of the nose, the shape of the eyes, the height of the cheekbones, and the length of the jaw line can be altered enough to change a person’s appearance completely. Even the apparent age can be altered with the increase or decrease of the amount of tension on the flesh. The same principle works to alter a tone of voice by changing the tension on the vocal chords. The process needs painful injections in the neck and several minutes to make the alterations. Those are effective until the operative needs a new face or wishes to resume his previous identity.

The nose clip won’t do ANYTHING (except hurt) on an adult. It NEVER would work, unless you used it on a young child regularly for a long period of time, which would just be cruel torture.

Hey I’d want to know if any of you actually used this nose clip thing, or if you have any other clip method to use for narrowing the nose.
I want to hear about someone who actually had any experience with this.
Thank you

It is not in New Zealand because IT DOES NOT WORK. Export is limited because this nose-clip product constitutes medical fraud in most countries.
Here’s an even more insane version of the fraudulent nose clip: NOSE ELECTROCUTION…

Actually, one of my friend used one of the nose clip similar to this product, it is called nose huggies. And yes it does works, because your nose it part cartilage. For more info – http://www.nosehuggies.com
You just have to follow the instruction and wait for a month, most people waited for a month or 2 weeks until they get the result. :)

October 18th, 2009 at 12:38 pm
omg! wierd. its on my nose right now too! I’m 16 so hopefully it will work. As for the pain.. eh =/ it hurts after 15 minutes and I wear it for 30 minutes a day. Its my 3rd day wearing it, I’m staying obstimistic! =] For those saying that this product is stupid and won’t work… Its called the scientific method. Why not test the product before comming to a conclution. You never know if you never try.
