Father of murdered gaijin hostess sets up hi-tech charity in her memory
The whole sad story of murdered nightclub hostess Lucie Blackman in Japan has yet to be played out. The creap Obara who killed her and chopped up her body and then spread the pieces in beach next to his condo (dumb) is still under trial. The trial may go on for years and this is after the Japanese police did everything in their power to ignore the murder(s). At least some “good” is coming out of this sorry tale of woe.
Charity set up for murdered Lucie
UK—….The father of murdered nightclub hostess Lucie Blackman is unveiling a charity in his daughter’s name. Tim Blackman, who lives on the Isle of Wight, will launch the charity at a concert at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Cowes on Friday evening.
The Lucie Blackman Trust will aim to promote measures which help those abroad get in contact with people back home, including a safety text scheme…..
Tim Blackman came up with the idea for Safetytext while searching for his daughter. Users create a message detailing their travel plans and set a time delay of between 30 minutes and 24 hours.
Of course, you can see how a lot of people are going find their picture of the newspaper as “lost” after a three-day drunk, but the idea is good. HOWEVER, I smell something fishy about the entire charity.
Yes, yes, I know Tim Blackman spent YEARS pursuing justice for Lucie and battled-and-won against the sleep Japanese wa (å’Œ) police”, but doesn’t this “Charity” sound just a little bit like he’s milking his daughter’s murder for self-aggrandisement? (Damn, the Internet has made me supicious of everyone’s motives. )
