“Numa Numa” gone ganguro gay
Via my drinking buddy “Mulboyne”….
“Baby I love you. Oh…Chihuahua” …a kogyaru unit called ã¾ãˆã‘ん♂トランスPJ …. revive the gyaru movement. JVC website here (warning: music) which also has the videos. You can also catch the dance video on “Barks” here.
“Oh…Chihuahua” is actually “Dragostea Din Tei” the O-Zone song that was made a must-see-to-believe, worldwide, superhit by Gary Brolsma’s “Numa Numa Dance” video. So of course, the Japanese needed to made a copy of copy of a copy of another gay parody from Spanish, “fiesta fiesta, pluma pluma gay” (party party, feather feather gay).
The charm of this song is explained on JVC’s ‘Barks’ promotional website:
Is charm of this artist what?
1 rank - Atmosphere
2 rank - Fashion
3 rank - Promotion video
The website goes on to explain that group’s name is the “MAEKEN TRANCE PROJECT and, “It can enliven living room…with a ganguro gyaru uniform, make-up, para para dancing and singing trance …that condenses the gal culture of Shibuya Center Gai with explosive power.”

That video should carry a warning, something like “Global Talent Shortage Continues. Do Not Click Here.”
That was a truly painful experience, much like the whole loose-sox/ganguro floozies fashion slave disease.

Ok, I changed “Chilean” to Spanish, and I hope that Spanish is generic enough to keep my Paraguayan informant (Hi Louis!) happy.

This song is definately awesome :). The real music video is far more amusing. Where the cross dresser is crushing on himself as a teacher. Oh goodness.

Does it really matter if the lead singer is really a gay man in disguise? The song itself is awesome, and whether or not the singers are actually real women or cross-dreesing gay guys in disguise is no reason to hate on the song.
