Blog Search War in Japan
My friend “Mulboyne” gave me this hot tip…
AxcessNEws: Japan’s Mitsui Invests in RSS Engine, Feedster
Privately held news search engine and RSS harvester, Feedster, said that Japan’s Mitsui & Co. has invested an undisclosed amount of capital into the San Francisco-based company to help it expand its business…In Japan, according to the research conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications early this year, about 3.35 million people blog and 16.5 million read blogs, both of which will double in number in a couple of years ….more…
I have only one word about the blog search war in Japan: SPEED!
Pity poor slow-as-an-opium-crap Feedster.
With today HUGE announcement of google blog search , they may be blown out of the water. Google blog search searching is instantaneous—Feedster is so slow, it’s a torture to use.
Feedster’s larger rival, technorati.comis no longer a horrible slowpoke (they used to suck) but the google blog search allows up to 100 blogs per page which is HUGE advantage over a mere 20 blog items at Technorati.
My fellow Tokyo blogger Gen Kanai has this link to the comments by Dave Sifry, Technorati’s CEO.
Let’s say it in another word: Mo’SPEED!
Try out blogsearch.google.com
