“Kirikirimai” the remix from the film, Fantastic Four
The totally American movie, Fantastic Four, which just opened in Japan last week (Japan is so behind the times).
And…. SLAMO! My head starts spinning Kirikirimai ãりãり舞ㄠwith Japanese metal lyrics. Kirikirimai means going round and round blowing a person away. It the last thing I expected to hear in an American movie. It turns out, the song “Kirikirimai” by the Japanese group Orange is used in the movie in the closing titles with vocals (and at the beginning of the dirt bike scene without the vocals as well).
Kool.

You can listen to a clip of “Kirikirimai” on the official website, here:
Apparently, the band who did Kirikiramai, Orange Range, ended up winning three awards at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2005. The the following winning titles lack any of the fun edge that Kirikiramai has.
Video of the Year
ORANGE RANGE “花” (Hana)
Best Album of the Year
ORANGE RANGE 『MUSIQã€
Best Buzz Asia
ORANGE RANGE “ãƒã‚³ãƒãƒ¼ã‚·ãƒ§ãƒ³” (rocoroshon)
