MAKUHARI, JAPAN—Japanese electronics giant Pioneer unveils a new 3-D image system called “Floating Interface” which displays images in midair, at the annual Ceatec…a 3-D computer graphic character, “Haruka”, virtually standing at a reception to greet guests at the exhibition.

Move over Princess Leia. It’s a VR OL.
Nobody but a couple of stupid droids will want to listen to the distress call from Princess Leia any longer when they can abuse “Haruka” at her reception desk. Yikes, the Rebel Alliance is doomed!
