Boy, locked in suitcase, dies
Agence France-Presse, October 12, 2005…The boy asked his seven-year-old friend in Naha, Okinawa prefecture to close the case after he climbed inside it…The friend, whose name was withheld, left him inside and went home because he could not reopen the suitcase.

wow… it’s interesting that the rest of the world still talks about Japan as a place where none of those things happen. drive by shooting? in Tokyo??
I wonder for how long will the myth of “the safest place on earth” live in the same sentence with “Japan”…
