Toyota Prius: brings out the bisexual in you (c)

Gay Americans favour hybrid electric vehicles
As do transsexuals, lesbians and bisexuals
The Register:…US gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender consumers… are “significantly more interested in hybrid electric vehicles than their non-gay counterparts”… according to a study by Harris Interactive …for this demographic – abbreviated to GLBT – … “Nearly three-quarters (72%) of GLBT consumers indicate they are more likely to consider purchasing a vehicle from a manufacturer that has specifically targeted automotive advertising to the GLBT community.” Regarding hybrid electric vehicles, 51 per cent of GLBTs consider it worth paying the extra for the technology, compared with just 34 per cent of the non-GLBT population.
We look forward, therefore, to Toyota targeting the GLBT market with an online ad campaign declaring: “Prius: brings out the bisexual in you” or “Test drive the Prius – the car that swings both ways”….
gay Toyota Prius

Ok, ok, before someone accuses me of being an aging anti-gay reactionary, let it be perfectly clear that he is right behind the rights of anyone, irrespective of age, race, colour, gender and sexual preference to seek employment in the totally-gay marketing industry (hee, hee). It’s just that “Prius” is stupid name for a car—-Prius sounds like the Priaptic state of the penis. I don’t feel that having such a stupid name should be a guarantee of success—Why should I give business to companies that use such dorky names?
