Japanese Male-or-Female Detector System
Spy camera lets stores know customers’ age, gender
TOKYO: …Yamaha Motor has unveiled a camera system that recognizes if a person is a man or woman and puts them into one of five age groups.
“We think this system is suited to marketing,” said Makoto Yoshida, Yamaha Motor’s advanced system research division supervisor. “This could be used at entrances and gates to some facilities or set up at eye-catching spots to profile those who entered the places or stared at them,” …. the system gets it right on gender 88 percent of the time — about the same accuracy rate as the human eye — and 77 percent of the time for age…..
I could continue in the theme of the previous “Prius” post about this Yamaha invention being the perfect “Gay or asian?” device but that would promote futher hurtful stereotypes. Then again, the face in the above photo has been altered: It’s actually Yagira Yuuya, who won the Cannes film festival’s Best Actor award for his role in the movie “Nobody Knows” in 2004.

Any information around about whether it is possible to tell the difference of a whimpy Japanese Male and a ugly Japanese would be a help. With this Female Detector System, it is possible that from time to time you cannot see the wood for the trees but you have pitched this at completely the appropriate level so that the lay person can appreciate .

Did you really say “wood” and “pitched” in the same sentence? LOL
(You SEO smurfs and comment-spam bots are great fun.)
