Humanoid Robot Wars

New Products — Humanoid robot
Toymaker Kyosho has come up with… “Manoi,” is capable of walking on two feet and kicking a soccer ball.
One-fifth the scale of the human body, the 40-cm robot is designed by Tomotaka Takahashi, a renowned robot designer. Kyosho is also planning to host the Athletic Humanoid Cup several times a year with such events as the 5-meter sprint…
The problem is Manoi looks he’s moving in on ASTROBOY’s turf although he’s a bit more expensive at 150,000 yen ($1,275 USD)—Not many of these Manoi robots will be serving as children’s toys in homes.
Besides, Manoi looks even looks a bit like Astroboy, don’t you think?

For more info on Manoi(tm), visit the Kyosho Corp. website.

YIKES! The Volks robot can bust a move. It has a lot of snap to its motions compared to Sony’s lame AIBO which is so sloooooow.
