The death throes of “Loose socks”
As we covered in fashion.3yen.com in Loose Socks in Japan…
Loose socks (Japanese: ルーズソックス, Rûzu Sokksu) are a type of sock that was popular among Japanese schoolgirls. They are nearly always white and are very long. They are usually worn below the knee, and are held up with a special adhesive called “socks glue†or “sock touch.†They are similar in appearance to leg warmers and girls liked wearing loose socks together with their school uniforms. The trend was popular for more than a decade and has almost died out…except now I found in the death throes of “loose socks” via the asobi blog links.
