Hakusan Festival in Shinjuku
I had no idea what I happened to run across in Shinjuku today. This float with a giant kimono lady looked freaky enough…. but then a bunch half naked taiko drumming women started to perform. Ahhh, the random pleasures of living in Tokyo.
When I finally got home at nine this evening I quickly found the answer to mystery—the float and drummers were part of the Hakusan Festival in Shinjuku.
