Japan’s oldest actress Hara dies at 96
TOKYO —- Japan’s oldest working actress Hisako Hara, who starred in the 1989 drama of the Hiroshima bombing “Black Rain,” has died at age 96…
She always seemed to play a granny in the movies all my life…. and gee, I just saw Hisako Hara ( 原ã²ã•å) her in “Sayonara Color,” his year.
She has played in so many NHK soap operas I have seen in the past 20 years that she feels closer to me than my great aunt Violet.

Frederick L. ‘Dick’ Ashworth, the weaponeer in charge of the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki, has died at age 94.
