“Bishonen” is totally mainstream in Japan for women under 30. As reported before here on the 3Yen, “yaoi” manga (stories involving gay romances between pretty young boys is a favorite among women here. Weirder is the US publisher is twisting cowboy love with a Wild West manga they call an “Old West yaoi one-shot: “Stallion”.
