Sushi is poisonous
Sushi may be bad for health: California group
Reuters.com:…Eli Saddler of gotmercury.org, a campaign of California-based Sea Turtle Restoration Project, went to six top sushi restaurants in LosAngeles to test mercury levels in the fish they serve. “The level of mercury in tuna these restaurants serve is so high they should be keeping this food off their lists,” Saddler said. “Eating sushi has become the new Russian roulette.”
Also dangerous are the high levels of mercury found in melon-headed whales that beached themselves in Ichinomiya, Chiba east of Tokyo late last month. According to today’s Kyodo News a dozen or so melon-headed whales that died stranded on the beach contained 10 times the amount of mercury that the Japanese government standards allow. The Health Sciences University of Hokkaido lecturer, Tetsuya Endo, said: “While we were studying the whales, some of the onlookers said they looked appetizing. But I think eating is not recommended.”
