‘Are ya feeling lucky, punk?’

“Omamori” (ãŠã¾ã‚‚り or ãŠå®ˆ ) is a Japanese talisman or good luck charm. In the picture are stuffed Genie which are being sold in a upscale mall in Kawasaki. It’s hard for me to imagine a shop at the entrance of a expensive mall in the West featuring lucky rabbit feet as their main promotion.
But hey, it’s Japan….
….And an Arab djinni AKA a “genie” is a spirit believed by Muslims to inhabit the earth and influence mankind by appearing in the form of animals and human apparitions sounds a lot like traditional Japanese Shinto folk beliefs.
