Beep, beep…here’s the ghost detection keitai [cell phone] fob.
This keitai charm has a ghost detection function. Does it work? We tested it out at a couple of spookly places in Tokyo such as the Yasukuni National [War-criminal] Shrine and the Aoyama Cemetery……more…
NEW & IMPROVED!–A Japanese ghost detector for your cell phone. Ri-i-ight…Whattacrockofcrap for 1,980 Yen ($7.71 USD).
When I wrote about this before, we figured out that all the detector does is it “beeps and flashes red lights in response to unusual magnetic waves.” Sheesh, all it does is detect changes in the background magnetic field–and you could “haunt” a house by hiding around the rooms, hee, hee.
Before the release of this tiny cell phone fob, SolidAlliance Corp. of Japan placed a larger USB version on the market last year. See: Scotsman: New Gadget from Japan Hailed as Ghost Detector

Wow, looks interesting! Do you know where I might be able to buy one online?
By the way, I love your website, I read it all the time now.
Hmmm, buying anything online from Japan is a pain in the oshiri/ass. For the Japanese ghost detector you should email and ask our friends at JList.com. http://affiliates.jlist.com/click/393/71
As you might guess, the ghost detector company’s website may refuse to sell to persons with non-Jpanese (overseas) credit cards but here is their sales website:
