Toilet Paper (World Wide Fund for Nature Japan)
Translation of the strange title: TP NG vs JPN
TP — toilet paper in the USA
NG — “Not Good” is commonly written in Japanese texts since it is a extremely popular word/abbreviation compared to English.
Vs — Generally means “and” in Japanese, not the Latin meaning of versus, against.
JPN — The 3-letter shortening of Japan used in the Olympics and sports frequently.

What’s this post supposed to mean? And in the 20 years I’ve lived in Japan I’ve never heard of VS being used as “and”! Where do you come up with this nonsense?

“Never heard of VS being used as “and”?
Neither have I *heard* it. But if you just look up and read the ads in the trains you will see that many interviews of two people or a famous person and a famous reporter will be listed as “A-san vs B-san.” However, this pseudo-interviews have no “VS” or conflict between the people at all.
