Japanese polka anime?
“Loituma” is a video meme floating about the Net since April in the tradition of Numa-Numa.

The leek spinning Loituma Girl’s name is Orihime Inoue, and she is from the Japanese anime “Bleach* (ブリーチ ).” As idle amusement, the artist at Leekspin.com overlaid the “Ievan Polkka”“ from the Swedish Finnish group Loituma) with a picture of Orihime Inoue twirling a leek.
Hey, I report it…I can’t explain it.
*(Damn I wonder how “Bleach” got its name which seems nearly as a crappy name as “Tokyo Mew Mew“.)

Have you ever seen polka danced? It’s finnish old style coupledance and quite speedy. Linked video would be nice. Try “polkka” as it is written in finnish.

Bleech was named for 2 reasons:
The First being that when Japanese people bleach their hair occasionally it doesn’t go so well and goes Orange rather than Blonde. Ichigo is attacked in one manga chapter by a guy claiming Ichigo stole his hair style (In fact the guy bleached his hair, Ichigo just had his normal hair). The second being that the Shinigami “Bleach” the souls of the hollows and spirits sending them to the afterlife, cleansing them.
