Made-in-Japan painting by the Beatles uncovered
Long-lost picture painted by Beatles obtained by gallery in Sapporo
Crisscross – News – Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 06:56 EDT, TOKYO … painted by the Beatles when the group visited Japan 40 years ago has been obtained by a gallery in Sapporo, Hokkaido…painted by all the four members of the band when they stayed at a hotel in Tokyo for their concert in the Nippon Budokan in 1966. The Beatles gave the abstract picture — 55 centimeters by 80 cm — drawn in pen and painted in watercolor to Rumiko Hoshika, 65, a music critic…more….
Yikes! The legend of the so-called “Beatles Typhoon” trip to Japan just gets more interesting. For the “real” scoop, check out the British Ambassador to Tokyo in 1966 wrote a confidential report on the visit.

Ain’t it surreal that for a while Tokyo area had TWO—yes 2—full blown Beatles museaums? Sony used to have a complete Yellow Submarine exhibit in Sony’s Mega Web Mediage themepark in Odaiba, Tokyo.

Also check out the middle of the industrial slums of Saitama (Tokyo area) the John Lennon Museum.

Normally I would not approve a “commercial” message like this but in your rare case John you are on-topic and providing valuable info—THANKS!
By the way, your ebay URL links that you posted are way to long for many blogs and website like this. I repaired your broken links.
I strongly suggest that you a link shortening service like http://doiop.com/ to change your overly-long URLs like:
