MSN-Mainichi Daily News, December 31, 2006
BIZEN, Okayama – For those with more robust palates, an unusual local specialty is gaining popularity here: A soft ice cream topped with fried oysters. Called “kaki (oyster) softo” this unlikely taste sensation can be yours for a mere 250 yen…The ice cream, which boasts two fried oysters drizzled in soy sauce . . . more . . .

Fried oyster and soft-serve ice cream called “Kaki-softo” (かきソフト) …. that’s yummy compared to the vile macha soft-serve ice cream sweet azuki beans and bean sauce with corn flakes on green macha soft-serve ice cream (ソフトクリーム ) as shown on the right.

Ha, ha, that’s nothing Taro-chama. “Kaki-softo” is not as bad as Japanese Sea Urchin Ice Cream. Wait, wait, a minute Taro–you are getting senile. You are the one who taugh me about so-called uni aisu (Sea Urchin ice cream) as well as basashi aisu (horse meat ice cream) and the like.
