It’s sealed: Year of the Boar

This is the Year of the Boar in Japan and throughout Asia. To prepare for the new year of the Boar/Pig sea lion “Jonao” is writing the Japanese Kanji character for at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise in south Yokohama, which is an hour or so from Tokyo. Poor Jonao-kun will have to practice his calligraphy for visitors twice a day from the first till the eighth of January.
Actually, I just jealous because the seal’s Kanji calligraphy is better than mine and my “first brush” (fude hajime) is not happening.
Wait a minute. I could simply cheat and order from our sponsor J-List a Calligraphy Board — Shuuji “[習字]. J-List’s in-house Daisuke, who holds a 2nd degree calligraphy “black belt”, will brush out any message in Japanese — any name or slogan — and, then I can claim I did it, hee, hee.

Come on now, writing [習字] is pedantic. Just use “しゅうじ” Japanese worm writing (Hiragana).
