Tokyo’s noise criminals have finally stopped
Ahhh, the noise criminals have finally stopped their assault.
Thank Buddha that Sunday’s election in Japan is over so the political parties’ sound trucks won’t be blasting their inane greetings anytime soon. It’s bad enough that the black sound trucks of Japan’s uyoku rightwing extortion gangs criminally blast their diatribes loudspeaker on the streets. However, during the election campaigns the political criminals blast at totally illegal sound volumes of more than 85 decibels measured 10 meters from a loudspeaker.
As you can imagine, the Japanese people are all deaf as you tell from this sound clip of the noise pollution at Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.

This crappy campaign noise taken from the PEOPLE IN THE TOWN blog’s video on YouTube.com (Fast forward to when the real screaming starts at 4:15 point of the video because it gets tedious waiting for the approach of the loudspeakers.)

I hate those vans with speakers! But today one of those vans said to me “Konnichiwa” and the guy driving it smiled to me, it was funny/stupid :)

I remember my first time going to Tokyo. I was staying at a hotel in Shibuya and for three days at around 9am, there was some guy and lady on a van plastered with signs yelling. It was so annoying. It was the worst wake up call ever. We were over 15 floors up inside the hotel and yet I could make out words, not that I understood them. I can’t believe that’s legal. I’ve stayed in New York City and that was less noisy than these lunatics. No one was paying attention to them either.

The Japanese are all deaf from years of abuse by inane loudspeaker announcements.
For years I have carried a pair of wire cutters. Every speaker wire I can find, I cut. I refuse to let those damn public address systems assault me with endless and mindless reminders “not to forget my umbrella” at noise levels above what is prohibited in Japanese factory environments.

Both the election sound vans and the right-wing black sound trucks use part-time college students to man their vans. The students and campaign workers (always paid–never volunteers) get bored.
Also note that the criminal gangs running the black sound trucks do noise extortion to make money in addition to right-wing ranting. If a company doesn’t pay bribe money they will rant on their speakers for days in front of business under the graces of the local police (who share in the bribes).
