Kinky ‘lash bar’ in Tokyo

I noticed that in the BBC News’ Day in pictures yesterday (sorry the link is now dead), they were showing the above fun photo of an, “employee wearing false eyelashes at the Shu Uemura eyelash bar in the Omotesando district.”
I walk past this kinky ‘lash bar’ in Tokyo all the time as it is in front my subway exit of Omotesando station, but I don’t remember seeing these particular “feathery” false eyelashes. However, I do remember seeing the store’s Mink-n-Diamond False Eyelashes for $10,000 USD.

The average price is from $13 to $43 USD. These feathery eyelashes go for 5,250yen, and they are offering 22 different false eyelash designs. However, I think the employee wearing false eyelashes might better spend her money on better dental care rather than the odd plastic tooth veneers she is wearing in the photo on the right.
(Damn, Japanese dentistry is terrible—dental fraud is standard.)

Looking at your charming email avatar photo Stitch-chan, I think Shu-Uemura’s Ultra-blue lashes would be perfect for your sexy blue complexion!

The model with the furry eyelashes reminds me of the former Prime Minister of Japan… Mr. Murayama.

Oh noooo, Love-san!
Tomiichi Murayama, 81st Prime Minister of Japan 1994 – 1996
My eyebrows and eyelashes would look like former Prime Minister Murayama if I didn’t cut them every few days.
