Uniqlo + Japanese clock girls = Uniqlock
My neighbor in the Tokyo ward just north of me, “Omae Mona,” just turned me on to the new website that features uber-cute Uniqlo girls providing the time at Uniqlock.
You can listen to a soundtrack from DJ Tomoyuki Tanaka (Fantastic Plastic Machine) watch the girls dance out the time, or as Uniqlo describes it in their charming engrish: “UNIQLOCK MUSIC.DANCE.CLOCK. MUSIC.FANTASTIC PLASTIC MACHINE. DANCE.WHO WILL? CLOCK. GET FREE.”
And, what’s a “Uniqlo” you ask? UNIQLO Co., Ltd. (株式会社ユニクロ) is a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer—sort of a 10,000 times cooler version of Wal-Mart or Target (Wikipedia).

Well…. there are at least 28 Uniqlock girls judging from the 28 different raw videos that Uniqlo posted according to a search of Youtube.

OK, now for another goofy feature. After spending my entire weekend staring at the Uniqlock (ok, I’m exaggerating SLIGHTLY), I found there is a special sequence at the top of each hour. For those too impatient to sit around all day long to find these, try changing your computer’s clock after the Uniqlock is already up on your screen.

Actually, while looking “cool” those kyudo/archery girls seldom hit a bullseye. In terms of the kami/spirit-contained-in-all-things of Japan’s native Shinto religion, they insult the bow and shame the arrows.
