You get all of the Gigantor cartoons that were made on DVDs via Amazon in two boxed sets: Gigantor – Boxed Set 1 (Episodes 1-26)) and Gigantor – Boxed Set 2 (Episodes 27-52).

This is a cool page an an instant bookmark for me! Very cool story too. Gawd, I hope I can see the giant erection (LOL) someday. The statue, that is.

happy to see how their recently increased city taxes will be spent.

For all you folks not paying Japanese taxes, city or ward taxes here have increased wildly this year and most people have found “surprise” tax bills in the mail of 300,000 to 600,000 yen ($2,500 to $5,000 USD).

It was playing at 7:00 p.m. on New York’s in January of 1966 when Variety gave it a particularly scathing review, calling it a “loud, violent, tasteless and cheerless cartoon”, which was “strictly in the retarded babysitter class”.

I’m sure most of the Kobe residents (especially the gaijin) will be happy to see how their recently increased city taxes will be spent.

Most likely I will get photos of the beginning of the construction process in Jan. and again in May when it’s completed.
