PCB, have contaminated the breast milk of Japanese women

PCB-like toxic substances contaminate breast milk
Japan Today -Wednesday, September 5, 2007; TOKYO — Toxic substances similar to the pollutant polychlorinated biphenyl, or PCB, have contaminated the breast milk of Japanese women, a group of Japan-based scientists said Wednesday…suspecting the materials ended up in human bodies through eating of fishmore

The ironic part of this news is that the commonly held belief is that the Japan’s fish-based diet contributes to Japanese having the world’s longest long lifespans. Note that 95% of Japanese children are breast fed for at least their first year, so no telling what Japan’s already nearly the highest-on-earth cancer rate will be in the future.
