This photo won the Most Bizarre award at The 49th International Conference on Electron, Ion and Photo Beam Technology and Nanofabrication Bizarre/Beautiful Micrograph Contest. Takahashi Kaito took this SEM, a Scanning Electron Micrograph, of integrated circuit fabrication at 15,000X magnification using an electron microscope while on the job at SII Nanotechnology Inc, Oyama, Shizuoka, Japan.
