Japanese ‘Space Curry’

‘Space Curry’ for astronauts to be sold in Japan
MDN Mainichi News, 2007 Nov. 03—The “Space Curry” that House Foods Corp. will start selling on Monday.
A curry recognized by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as a Japanese space food product is set to go on sale in Japan…more…
This is hilarious for Hindus— According to the website of House Food Corp. this, “space retort Japanese meal is BIFU-KARE—beef curry.” Hmmm, sacred cow curry.
The curry packaged in a retort boiling pouch for cooking will only be sold at Japan’s Science Museum and House Foods’ mail-order channel “SHOP House”.
One good thing the Space Curry is made with a richer, spicy flavor since one’s sense of taste diminishes in outer space. This is great improvement because Japanese faux curry is nearly spiceless.
Actually, sweet no-spice curry is part the Japanese salaryman’s Food Pyramid—The pyramid’s four major food groups being curry, tobacco, alcohol, and UFO ramen. ;-)

Sort of related to Space Curry is that House Foods also markets a curry drink called Turmeric Force.

Gee, you’re too kind. I only ズズ zuzu suck ramen like a proper Japanese person. I’m not adventurous enough to suck Japanese curry.
