Mickey Mouse’s new cellphone company

Disney to enter Japan cellphone market in spring
TOKYO, Nov 12 (Reuters) – Walt Disney Co, the No.2 U.S. entertainment company, said on Monday it plans to enter the Japanese mobile phone market early next year using local carrier Softbank Corp…
Most people think their mobile phone service is really a Mickey Mouse operation, so why not have Mickey Mouse run the carrier for truth-in-advertising? Disney is quiting its U.S.-based mobile phone service boosting its Mickey Mouse operation in Japan where it will be better appreciated. The rest-of-the-story is that Disney is Japan’s first virtual network operator because Japan’s cellphone mobile market is over saturated—Softbank like all mobile companies has cell coverage that’s too good, under-utilized, and the needs to get rid of that excess/unused capacity (without lowering prices).
And while your contemplating that logic, why not view the news of those sweet new Mickey Mouse cellphones on a new Mickey Mouse TV … from Uniden Corp. of Japan.
