Unique canned food being sold in vending machines
Nov. 16 TOKYO, Japan (Kyodo)—Vending machines sell a wide variety of canned foods, such as ramen noodles and Japanese udon noodles in curry sauce at Chichibu Electric Co. in Tokyo’s Akihabara district….. (link will expire quickly)
Last May, I mentioned in my report, “Hot ramen in a drink can,” that I had found hot Japanese ramen noodles being sold in drink cans in vending machines. Now according to the Kyodo Press, these Japanese Pastafarain Temples of Vending Worship have become mainstream over the past year (although I have yet to see the machines very often). The Akihabara district for otaku/geeks is by far the worst area to eat in Tokyo (besides the not-food sold sold at highway toll plazas) so canned hot noodles is easier to sell there to the nerds, meh.

All hail and slurp His Noodly Appendages!
“RAmen.”
