Hmmm, there’s some synergy here. Mitsubishi Oil is a major importer and KFC is a major greaseball. Industry is looking to exploit cheap and plentiful animal fats as biodiesel (Tyson’s Foods recently estimated that, “one 42-gallon barrel of renewable diesel requires about one barrel of animal fat and each barrel requires, on average, two steers, or 16 hogs or 1,300 chickens”). And, with the existing plants that produce diesel oil from waste vegetable oil at Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants, there’s got be a profit angle here somewhere, ha, ha.
