Tokyo maid working it…
Here’s Japanese TV at its “best” showing a faux-maid working it in Akiba*. The TV show put cameras in an Akihabara maid cafe and filmed the reaction a famous otaku/nerd, named Nagasawa-san’s, to a flesh and blood woman willing to do more than just play-act a frilly maid.
*Akiba is Japanese slang for Akihabara Electric Town aka Akihabara Denki Gai (more info on Wikipedia).

So I suppose this again is not mental retardation but just the usual sensitivity, politeness, and intelectual superiority of the japanese race ?
Problem is deeper. Japanese TV is like a GIGANTIC sceptic tank. Even pseudo cultural show tend to be so heavily racist or insulting for human brain that it’s nauseating. The best time where during the previous Aichi Expo where it was good game to invite some black dude (preferably really dark with really white teeth) and to make fun of him for not knowing obscure japanese tradition or behaviour. Great master race indeed… But don’t tell them that foreigners don’t eat their babies… It might make their world collapse…
