AKIRA DiCaprio!?
Call this a Public Service Announcement of the thisisgoingtosuck type but be warned that it seems that a live-action Akira DiCaprio is on the way. Yuck.

DiCaprio, Warner Bros. in for live-action ‘Akira’
hollywoodreporter.com – Feb 21, 2008—Anime classic “Akira” is getting the live-action big screen treatment courtesy of Leonardo DiCaprio and Warner Bros.
Ruairi Robinson has been hired to direct what would ideally be a two-part epic. Gary Whitta is writing the adaptation, which DiCaprio will produce via his Appian Way shingle…more…

maybe they’ll have scary androids dressed up in Colonel Sanders, Donald McDonald and Mr. Rogers outfits chasing Akira DiCaprio down the streets of ManHattan….since it’s gonna suck, might as well also have the giant head of Blinky Ishihara come looming out of the ground when the Akira monster comes into being….
