Children’s Day - Japan’s increasingly child-free holiday
Today is Kodomo no Hi — Children’s Day, a Japanese national holiday (Wikipedia).
However, each year Japan has fewer kids to celebrate as I insinuated in the previous 3Yen report, Japan outlaws humans under the age of 15.
According to government reports, Japan will to lose between 33 to 40 million population by 2050 between 26% to 31% of it’s total population. As several NHK commentators have mentioned today, this is a population loss of a major city the size of Kawasaki with a population of about 1,000,0000 people disappearing every year for the next 42 years.

Less competition for jobs, apartments, and so many other things. Resulting lower costs for all consumers. Demand > supply that’s a good thing. ;) Be ready for a great future!
