Port of call Yokohama — Libertad, Argentine tall ship
Yesterday, I visited the Argentine Navy’s training ship, the ARA Libertad (Q-2). This full-rigged, 4-masted, frigate is one of the largest tall ships in the world with a 3,675-ton displacement, and it set a record of eight days and twelve hours to cross the Atlantic.
—However, I did have an odd observation of the Japanese folks visiting the Libertad during the Yokohama port of call.—
The Japanese women were taking pictures of themselves hugging the cute Argentine naval cadets.
The Japanese guys and I were taking pictures of the figurehead.
