Frozen-in-time Harajuku Psychobillies
My pro-photographer friend here in Tokyo, the incomparable Mr. Masa of the now censored Ninjashot and MasaMania websites, snapped a few photos of the Harajuku Rockakbilly Zoku/tribe. (See Wikipedia’s Harajuku Subcultures.) As though frozen in time since the early 1980s, the same twisting Rockakbilly guys have been dancing their best on the street that passes in front of Yoyogi Park every Sunday for more than 25 years.
Although the Rockabilly guys never change, their groupies do. Check out nubile photos that Mr. Masa’s took this cool cloudy Sunday (and nearly got stomped for taking these photos by the jealous Psychobilly guys).
