Are we still here? 9.1 M earthquake for Tokyo or southern China today

Godizilla-stomps Tokyo Oh, no, there goes Tokyo

Are we still here?
Bogus Brazilian clairvoyant Jucelino Nobrega da Luz has predicted for today:

A magnitude of 9.1 will hit southern China with a million deaths
IF not in China, it will be another “Tokai Earthquake” with its epic-center in Tokyo and up to a million deaths

bogus-psychic in Japan Jucelino Nobrega da Luz

Of course, among all of da Luz’s many predictions he also predicted that Tokyo will be struck by a quake with a magnitude of around 6.5 in August…And now in September I’m still typing this with all my crystal champagne glasses standing intact on my open shelves.

If you google him, you’ll find that his “predictions” are all slightly different–slightly different dates, or different places, or different magnitudes. The above screenshot of da Luz on Japanese TV last week says 9.1 M in “asia.”

Speaking of bogus fears, did you notice that the world hasn’t been sucked into a black hole created under the French-Swiss countryside either?

Large Hadron Collider “Actually Worked”
National Geographic News
September 10, 2008

The world’s largest atom smasher’s first experiment went off today without a hitch, paving the way toward the recreation of post-big bang conditions.
The Large Hadron Collider fired a beam of protons inside a circular, 17-mile (27-kilometer) long tunnel underneath villages and cow pastures at the French-Swiss bordermore

  1. MARKed TRAIL Says:

Ok, but the Swiss cows are not safe yet. The Large Hadron Collider will not perform the blackhole generating experiment for at least two weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy the following…

Q: How many LHC technicians physicists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Two. One to hold the bulb and one to rotate the universe.

–A neutron walks onto bar, and a proton is behind the bar. The neutron orders a beer and says, “how much?” The proton replies, “for you no charge” Surprised, the neutron says, “really?” And the proton deadpans, “I’m positive”

–Two electrons are sitting on a bench in the park. Another electron comes by and says, “Hi there, can I sit with you?” to which the electrons reply, “Don’t be ridiculous, we aren’t Bosons.”

  2. Coligny Says:

Meanwhile Hokkaido is shaken by a force 7 and there not enough garden furniture toppled over to justify more than a minute of street sign wiggling footage. And back to the tainted rice scandal…

  3. Taro Says:

Hokkaido was hit by a Magnitude 7 two days ago but there was little damage except an increase in surprised cow farts.

    UPDATE!

Live LHC Compact Muon Solenoid Experiment Webcams are now available. ;-)

  4. den4 Says:

Greenpeace will boycott Hokkaido now because of increased methane gas caused by cow farts…Taro-sama….you shouldn’t have revealed to the world that fact….grobal walming fans will now be out in farce…

  5. Greji Says:

Hey, like I just sobered up, did I miss the end of the world?
