Japanese maids go to the mat….tatami mats, that is
On August 31st we previously showed you how
Japanese neckties go to the mat.
Now the same fun folks making the tatami tie at the Japan Tatami Industry Promotion Association are having “maids” dressed in cat ears and frilly frou-frou maid costumes go to the mat…that is, tatami mats.

In this soon-to-be-aired commercial on TV TOKYO, the “Mat Maids” dance on tatami mats with clumsy little boy priests to remind you that tatami mats are kind to the environment. The Mat Maids sing the catch refrain, “PISSu, PISSu, PISSu, PISSu, tatami PISSu”
(PISSu is the delightful Japanese pronunciation of “peace”).

“Bizu” means business which is meaningless in this context.

Shit. Now even tatami makers are into tree hugging, are they?
