In Japan being a mother is a serious job
My Tokyo buddy “Omae Mona” just posted my new favorite Japanese mystery product…

…the Mama Snot Sucker®.
Specially, the top of the package reads “Mama” (mother) “Hana-mizu” (snot) “Tote” (remove).

How could mama’s gag reflex not be stimulated? I feel the puke rising in my throat just looking at the thing.
And speaking of puke: when OmaeMona posted the pic in FG, I thought the thing was a tube through which mama could blow masticated food into baby’s mouth.

Oh, if I could count the number of times I’ve seen people attempt to blow masticated food into the baby’s mouth with this device. Unfortunately, they are always stymied by the “double tube that prevents reverse flow” (patent pending?).

It’s no problem really. The mother’s sucking ONLY creates a vacuum and not a back flow.
Omae Mona said it before, the Snot Sucker(tm) device works like a safety-version of a standard laboratory mouth pipette that has a “double tube that prevents reverse flow”.
