Original 3yen report of Nov. 20, 2007: Japanese breakthru: Biodegradable Bot!
Amazon Japan is selling this toy robot derived from the comic-book character “Cardbo” of the Yotsuba&! (よつばと!, Yotsuba to!) manga. Make of fun Amazon.co.jp boxes and articulated joints that you can pose, this Cardbo is only about 2,200 yen, a little more than $20 USD, but….
Sadly like most most k-cool products for sale online on Japanese websites, the “Cardbo” cannot be sold and shipped overseas. Meh. Never fear, this cardboard robot is available via preorder at Rinkya.com and will be released December 1st. You can pre-order such items here.
