Here’s a job you might never thought existed in Japan for gaijin/foreigners–being a “butler” for Japanese otaku girls.
Back in 2006, briefly mentioned this trend in larger report about prevy maid cafes, which is Japan’s only growth industry—See: ‘Maids’ for anime-addled otaku as well as our “Maids” report.
Well now, the Butler’s Cafe is expanding and looking for more help according to today’s tokyo.craigslist…

We are looking for polite, friendly and good-looking foreign male waiters who live in Japan to work in our butler cafe.
Applicants must hold working holiday, work permit, student visa or must be able to work in Japan.
This themed cafe places emphasis on making its female customers feel like princesses.
The butlers act accordingly, providing a welcoming environment and give each princess a unique, individual experience.

What an incredibly demeaning job, no thanks

Call in the General Union still recovering from the Nova fallout.
We are in a (shhhhh not so loudly someone might hear) recession. Any job is a good job. There is no job beneath anyone.
If the maids can wear those costumes. And people wear Mickey Moose suits. And yankies still wear the same outdated outfit generation after generation then a foreigner can play Batman’s butler for a few kicks and giggles.
Just make sure to bring a camera along. The customers to these places must be very interesting pieces of work.
I’ll accept that PT job only if I can also wear a strap on dildo.
