Pichon-kun car
Seen cruising the downtown streets in Tokyo today…

Somebody must have an unnatural fixation on “Pichon-kun” the mascot of Daikin Industries’ air-conditioners.
Check out the official website and the youtube below.
Oops/Update:
That “Somebody” is Daikin Industries.
I just read at watch.impress.co.jp (machine translation) that this car is a Toyota, the “iQ” (Wikipedia). The Toyota IQ did have beaucoup Bondo® body work.
Daikin Industries are using the car as part of its tenth anniversary commemorative campaign of the debut of their Pichon-kun character. The campaign period from May 7 to August 31, three of these cars will be exhibited all over Tokyo.

Please note that the attachment of the front license plate of the Pichon-kun car is highly illegal in Japan.

It’s some kind of

K-car (keijidosha)–Japanese micro car class with a 660cc engine displacement limit.[Wrong-o! The white license plate means it's regular car.]Update: It’s a Toyota “IQ”.
My best guess is that it’s a Suzuki Twin with fiberglass modifications.May 9th, 2009 at 1:01 am
