The DPJ is the main opposition party here has strong lead over the not-soLiberal not-soDemocratic not-so-funParty current lead by the wacko Prime Minister Taro Aso. Parliamentary elections will be held on August 30 and according to the polls, the LDP is losing by a large margin (ending the stranglehold on Japanese politics that it has had since 1955).
