Mr James vs ‘Donald’ McDonald in Japan

Original post of August 15th—McDonalds Japan seems to have tired with putting up with their cheap clown, “Donald” McDonald (the witness protection program changed Ronald’s name to Donald McDonald when he was relocated in Japan). 
So it seems that McDonalds Japan has dumped Donald and hired a new American clown as their foreign “image character.” There’s even a new website and blog for “Mr. James. See the humor at the official website….

Over on the Debito.com blog, there is much gnashing of teeth about how Mr. James just bolsters the negative stereotypes about foreigners and that Mr. James is just another Stepin Fetchit,
However, I think the big mystery is whatever happened to McDonalds Japan’s hot tomato Ronnette Mcdonald?

I don’t think Mr. James chracter is a bad thing at all….in the other hand, ronette is really the weirdness at it’s best…but i still hit her :D and comming to think of it, she maybe got a bf and got pregnant, maybe she already poped out a devil’s spawn :D who knows? :P

According to Mr. James’ blog (in Japanese), he lives in Tokyo with his daughter, Jennifer (after his wife ran off with ‘Donald’ McDonald).

McDonalds seems to have chickened out when the Mr. James beef started. Now they only allow a link to the top level of the blog unless you can find this link to 2009.08.16 “Show my house; a trout!” functions. ;-)
