Tokyo Motor Show 2009 — the Auto-Show-That-Nobody-Came-To
Now here’s a cute motorcycle face that only a Japanese could appreciate.
October 21, 2009 — DayLife.com photo—CHIBA, JAPAN – OCTOBER 21: Honda's electric vehicles 'EV-Monpal' are on display (L) and 'EV-Cub' (R) during the 41st Tokyo Motor Show at Makuhari Messe on in Chiba, Japan
According to EliteChoice.com these co-friendly electric scooters are designed to be all-wheel drive, which offers traction advantages on loose surfaces and wet roads.
Also check out this folding electric motorcycle, Yamaha’s ‘EC-f’ that is on display.

PRIOR ART to the Yamaha’s ‘EC-f’ … Pushmi-pullyu.

Actually this year’s Tokyo Motor Show is “groundbreaking” as the Auto-Show-That-Nobody-Came-To because no major foreign automakers will be represented for the first time in 45 years at the event, formerly one of the world’s five biggest car shows according to Bloomberg.com as you can see in the mostly vacant photo below.

the motor show is not open to the public yet. Yesterday and today are press-only days so of course the attendance is ‘low’. The space gets filled up when the masses of japanese come in during the weekend

I’ll wait for the quattro s-line super happy exciting edishiun.

I might get the Quattro (at the wholesale auto auction in Denver USA) since “somebody” (my stupid nephew) just wrecked my 300 Benz (without getting a scratch on himself). First however, I need to get rid a few of my barn-full of seven cars in the US.
1. Lexus ‘02 <—daily driver
2. Cadillac Coup de Vile 1962, pink of course
3. MGB ‘75 (frame up, full restoration)
4. Subaru 4W Outback <—Colorado mountains and snow driver
5. 1973 “my-Name-is-Earl” El Camino pickup truck with the Big-Block V8 454 in³
6. Ford Ranger pickup 2005
7. Subaru Forester 2005, turbocharged 224-horsepower boxer engine <–technically this is my Mom’s car but she’s 84 years old and lost her drivers license
In Tokyo, I have the Nissan Fuga 350 GT (Infiniti M35) 2005, which is more than enough of vehicle anyone would ever need.

Good call Sty-san!
Yep, Press Day when this photo was taken is not crowded all. However, everything about this Tokyo Motor is 20-30% less than previous years…Especially the booth bimbos and race queens.

My Cadillac Coupe de Ville is in Denver Colorado (USA) and I am on the road right now in it getting ready to hit a snowstorm in the next hour or so (without snowtires or chains). =:-o
