Japan’s BECK and Mongoloid losers
Japan has a Mongoloid BECK.
That is, according to the always charming Mari blog today, “BECK is a manga about boys in a rock band named ‘BECK’ but this manga was called BECK Mongolian Chop Squad to avoid confusion with Beck of the UK.”
Now the manga/anime fake BECK is going to be a rock’n'roll live-action movie called “BECK – the Mongolian Chop Squad” to avoid any wacky confusion the living alt-rocker Beck, the wacko Scientologist. Ri-i-i-ght.

Speaking of rock groups and Mongolism, this mash-up of Lugosi’s Mongoloid Loser–Beck vs. Devo vs. Bauhaus by The Illuminoids is much better at copylefting than the retarded copying of Japan’s Mongoloid BECK. (Right click save the mashup’s MP3.)
Listen to: ‘Lugosi’s Mongoloid Loser‘ ….

And, listen to the originals here: Devo’s Mongoloid, Beck’s Loser, and Bauhaus’ Bela Lugosi is Dead. Also, watch the music videos of these songs in the Comments.

Shit. Japan just copies Beck’s name—fuckin’ real ‘Mongoloid Losers’!
I know it is impossible to copyright a title, but why do Japanese to keep screwing with names?
I mean, the problem of Puffy Amiyumi vs Puffy Combs is understandable. However, Beck (Hansen nee Campbell) was a major international hit decade before the Japanese BECK was started.
