A whale of a can opening . . . only in Japan
Japan really knows how to open up a whale of a can of whoopass on the area devastated by last year killer tsunami/earthquake/nuclear mealtdown.
Yomiuri News, July 1, 2012…
Work started Saturday to remove a giant can that …actually was a tank used to store fish oil, the can used to stand in front of Kinoya Ishinomaki Suisan Co., a seafood processing company in Ishinomaki…the can–10.8 meters high and nine meters in diameter…more…
Now for the rest-of-the-story…
That giant tin can that they wanted to save as, “as a reminder of the March 11, 2011 catastrophe for future generations” was a Kinoya company’s celebration of, “50 years having the whale!”
← As you can see in the photo on the left taken in 2008, the employees are cheering in front of their company’s giant can full of red chunks of yummy boiled whale.

Here a close-up of the giant can of boiled whale before the tsunami hit it.

And, here’s the scrumpcious whale neck that you get to eat.

Come now Taro, it can’t possibly taste any worse than raw liver.
BTW, how does one determine if something is whale neck as opposed to whale chin?

Sometimes you eat the whale–Sometimes the whale eats you.
