Going buggy bot — the Robo-Beatle from Japan
On August 26th at the Matsuri Tsukuba festival was invaded by a giant beetle robot as all the Japanese news services have been reporting…
The “KABUTOM RX-03″ is a giant Japanese Kabutomushi Rhinoceros Beetle Bot, from Japan of course. More than 11 years in the making, the Kabutom RX-03 is an 11 meter long, 15 ton robot created by 64 year-old Hitoshi Takahashi that it can be either piloted or remotely controlled. That’s some hobby, ain’t it?
Check out the official website of the Kabutom RX-05 robot (Google Translate).

The Kabutom RX-05 was so unwieldy (it takes two flat-bed trucks and 11 hours to set up), Mr. Takahashi decided to create the new “HERACLES A-1 vehicle of a small beetle!” (Google Translate)
